Four people accused of exposing baby to meth


LONDON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Four people are accused of exposing a seven-month old child to methamphetamine, who ended up in the neo-natal intensive care unit at UK Hospital, according to the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies say they went to a home off Ray Johnson Road on Wednesday after receiving a report that the baby had ingested or been exposed to meth.

The child’s caregivers were arrested along with two other people in the home, according to deputies.

Deputies identified the caregivers as 59-year old Linda Sue Mays and 25-year old Lindsey Browning, both of East Bernstadt.

Investigators say Browning admitted using meth while taking care of the baby.

Also arrested at the home, 34-year old Christopher Mays and 59-year old Russell Mays, both of East Bernstadt.

All four were taken to the Laurel County Detention Center.
