KSP: Two arrested on drug charges following pursuit


CASEY COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – A chase in Casey County ends with the arrest of two people.

Kentucky State Police say a trooper tried to stop a driver after spotting him committing a traffic violation on U.S. 127 near Liberty around 4:45 p.m. May 3.

According to police, the driver took off, and the trooper pursued.

They say the driver reached speeds of up to 100 miles per hour, crossing into Lincoln County then back into Casey County, where he lost control of his car.

The driver, 34-year-old Travis Crew, of Dunnville, was arrested at the scene.

Troopers say a large amount of suspected methamphetamine was found in the car along with several syringes, and a large sum of cash.

Crew was charged with several offenses, including wanton endangerment of a police officer.

His passenger, 24-year-old Megan Shuck, of Liberty, was also arrested. She faces several drug charges.
