LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Almost 400 people were fed for free at Talley’s B.B.Q. restaurant in Lexington Sunday.
It’s part of Chef Love Talley’s efforts to feed the homeless.
“I think it’s a wonderful thing that they’re doing for the community. And more people should be doing it,” said Dr. Johnny Sheppard.
Talley’s fed hundreds of people over the six yea’s he’s been hosting the event, but it’s not just about feeding people.
“For me, to see them sit down and eat, white, black and abroad, just anybody. And to communicate with each other, means the world,” said Talley.
Talley adds he sees this as a way to give back to the community that’s made his business a success for many years.
“The support from the community, in reference to people supporting the business, it is what allowed me to do things like this and to do it every single year,” said Talley.
