MANCHESTER, Ky. (WTVQ) – A Clay County man was arrested on drug and other charges after a foot chase with deputies on Saturday afternoon, according to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office.
Investigators say 38-year old Ray Wagers was walking along Curry Branch Road around 4:00 p.m., and when he saw the patrol car approaching, he took off running and jumped a fence.
After a brief foot chase, Wagers was taken into custody. Deputies say when they searched Wagers, they found what is believed to be methamphetamine.
Deputies say Wagers also ran from them on April 26 and he they learned he had an arrest warrant out of Knox County.
He was taken to the Clay County Detention Center.
