FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVQ) – Democratic gubernatorial candidate Andy Beshear has raised just shy of $2 million in his campaign, according to the most recent filing.
The campaign has raised more than $750,000 so far this year, according to the report.
The campaign says 99.9% of the donations came from individuals during the reporting period and that more than 50% of the donations were for $100 or less.
Beshear, the current attorney general and son of former Gov. Steve Beshear, is running with Jacqueline Coleman, a high school administrator in Mercer County.
Beshear’s Democratic opponents in the May Primary include House Minority Leader Rocky Adkins, former state auditor Adam Edelen and Geoff Young, a retired state engineer and perennial candidate for elected office.
The Primary is Tuesday, May 21, 2019.
