Kenton Co. jury convicts man of sexual abuse, recommends life

COVINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A Kenton County Jury deliberated slightly more than an hour Thursday before finding a man guilty of sexual abuse of a child.

According to prosecutors, a 9-year-old child testified that almost one year ago, while spending the night at 41-year-old Jeremy Breeden’s home, Breeden entered a room where the child was laying in bed and began performing oral sex on the child.

Prosecutors say the child also testified that Breeden placed the child’s hand on his penis before climbing in the child’s bed and “tongue kissing” the child.

The child’s mother confronted Breenden via text message about the abuse after she found out, according to prosecutors.

They say Breeden initially denied the allegations, but then told the mother he wanted to apologize to the child and rebuild trust with the child.

After finding Breeden guilty of sexual abuse and sodomy, the jury recommended the maximum possible sentence of life.

Final sentencing is scheduled for May.
