Vapor leak found at Blue Grass Army Depot


MADISON COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)-There was a vapor leak today at the Blue Grass Army Depot in Madison County.

Blue Grass Chemical Activity says crews detected the emission Tuesday during a regular inspection of a storage unit that holds Sarin gas.

Crews connected a filter to the storage device to make sure the vapor did not get into the atmosphere.

Chemical Activity says this is part of normal life at the depot and there is no danger to people in Madison County.
