ANDERSON COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)- An 18-year-old has been charged with the murder of 19-year-old Kyle York. York was shot Saturday night.
According to the Anderson News, 18-year-old Jordan Witt was arrested Thursday.
The newspaper says Witt was under the influence when she reportedly shot York with a .22 caliber pistol.
York was a 2018 graduate of the Anderson County High School, and was a freshman at Eastern Kentucky University, where he was studying to be a drug counselor, according to obituary information posted on the website for Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home.
ANDERSON COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – A 19-year-old is dead following a shooting Saturday in Anderson County.
Kentucky State Police were called to a home around 10:15 p.m. about a possible shooting at 1020 Country Estates in Lawrenceburg.
Troopers arrived to find Kyle York, of Lawrenceburg, suffering from a gunshot wound and life-threatening injuries.
He was rushed to Frankfort Regional Medical Center, where police say he was pronounced dead.
Police have not released information on a possible suspect. They say the investigation is ongoing.
An autopsy on York is scheduled for Sunday.
