LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says that this advisory serves as an update for work toward the New Circle Road/KY 4 widening project in Lexington.
The construction includes Georgetown Road/US 25 to Boardwalk Avenue. In addition, the interchange is being reconstructed at Newtown Pike/KY 922.
KYTC says the anticipated completion date for the project is December 31, 2020.
From 7 p.m. Friday, April 12, to 6 a.m. Monday, April 15, the outer loop/right lane of New Circle will be closed. Both ramps will be closed to Newtown Pike.
The closures are necessary for crews to perform widening and ramp construction.
Motorists should use the alternate route from Georgetown Road to Citation Boulevard for accessing I-75 and I-64.
All work is scheduled on a tentative basis and is subject to change depending on weather conditions, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
