Brinker was arrested on a felony warrant for two counts of theft greater than $10,000 and one count of theft greater than $500.

According to the Kentucky Bar Association, Brinker has been suspended from practicing law since 2010.

According to the Commonwealth’s Attorney’s office, Brinker’s arrest warrant says he was the executor of Joan Siemer’s estate, which left a $500 gift to the Benedictine Sisters of St. Wahlburg. Money was also supposed to be split between three heirs: Mark Hammond, James Dugan, Jr., and Anna Dugan Owens.

Siemer reportedly died in 2006. According to the Commonwealth’s Attorney her estate sold real estate in Southgate for $83,000 a few months later. A bank account in the estate’s name was opened using Brinker’s former law office address.

Banking records reportedly show in January, 2019 $10,000 was transferred twice into accounts Brinker controlled. Brinker is also accused of cashing one $5,000 check.

Prosecutors are hoping people can help them find Siemer’s heirs. If you think Brinker could be in control of some of your funds, contact Kentucky State Police.
