LINCOLN COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – A man charged with the murder of a Lincoln County woman has reportedly pleaded guilty to a lesser charge.
April Neikirk was reported missing in May of last year.
Her remains were discovered the next month off Ike Singleton Road in Waynesburg.
Authorities arrested Otha Wesley and charged him with murder and tampering with physical evidence in connection to the case.
According to the Interior-Journal newspaper, Wesley pleaded guilty last week to one count of first-degree manslaughter, tampering with physical evidence and abuse of a corpse.
The newspaper says Wesley agreed to a 23-year sentence.
He will be formally sentenced on April 26.
