LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says that temporary lane closures are rescheduled for Interstate 64 westbound.
KYTC says the closures are necessary for sewer line replacement for the Woodford County rest areas. The east and westbound rest areas are located on Interstate 64 between milepoints 60.2 and 60.7.
A renovation project began in January for both facilities.
The closures are rescheduled for Friday, March 29, from 7:30 a.m. until 7 p.m.
The right and middle lanes will be closed on I-64 W between mile markers 60 and 58.
The left lane will stay open.
The rest areas on I-64 east and westbound between mile points 60.2 and 60.7 will be closed to regular motorists. Semi-truck drivers can continue to use to rest stops.
All work is subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
