FRANKFORT, KY. (WTVQ)- The attorney general’s office says a man who lived in Casey County has been indicted on 29 counts related to sexual assault of minors.
Investigators say a grand jury indicted 44-year-old Jason Reusser on rape, sodomy, and other charges.
The attorney general’s office says the case involves the abuse of multiple children. The charges span from August 1, 2007 up to the date of the Reusser’s arrest, January 19, 2012.
In 2016, the original indictment in the case was tried by another prosecution office and resulted in a hung jury. The 2019 indictment is a superseding indictment.
Reusser is expected to be arraigned in Casey Circuit Court at 10 a.m. on April 8.
Beshear said that Kentuckians have a moral and legal duty to report any instance of child abuse to local law enforcement or to Kentucky’s Child Abuse hotline at 877-597-2331 or 877-KYSAFE1.
