SCOTT COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)- We have new information in the shooting of Scott County Sheriff’s Deputy Jamie Morales.
The investigation concludes that the bullet that partially paralyzed Morales in the line of duty came from the gun of a fellow officer.
Morales was shot in the back as deputies and police tried to arrest a suspected serial bank robber, Edward Reynolds, last September at a rest stop on I-75.
Investigators say they can not conclude which officer accidentally shot Morales. They say while Reynolds threatened officers with a gun, he was shot and killed before he could fire it.
