Severe storms possible through early tonight

Overview:  A HIGH WIND WARNING is in effect through early this evening, with wind gusts around 60 mph possible. A WIND ADVISORY continues until 11 pm tonight, with wind gusts around 45 mph. Strong to severe thunderstorms will be possible through early tonight, with damaging winds, isolated tornadoes, and hail possible. Cooler air moves into Kentucky overnight as a cold front moves through the region, with overnight low temperatures around 45 degrees by daybreak Friday.  Upper 40s to lower 50s return Friday into early next week. A few spotty rain showers will be possible Friday and late Sunday. Scattered rain will be possible late Wednesday into Thursday.

TONIGHT: Gusty winds and rain showers linger through about midnight, with chilly temperatures developing overnight as a cold front moves through Kentucky, with a low of 45 degrees.

FRIDAY: Partly to mostly cloudy skies and a few rain showers will be possible, with a high of 53 degrees. Gusty winds around 30 mph will still be possible during the day.

FRIDAY NIGHT: Partly cloudy skies and cold temperatures develop, with an overnight low of 29 degrees.

SATURDAY: Partly cloudy skies and chilly temperatures develop, with a high of 48 degrees.

SATURDAY NIGHT: Mostly clear skies and chilly temperatures develop, with a low of 27 degrees.

SUNDAY: St. Patrick’s Day looks to feature partly cloudy skies, with a high temperature of 50 degrees. A spotty rain shower will be possible.

SUNDAY NIGHT: Mostly clear skies and cold temperatures develop, with a low of 31 degrees.

MONDAY: Partly cloudy skies and cool temperatures continue, with a high of 49 degrees.

TUESDAY: Mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies and cool temperatures develop, with a high of 51 degrees.

WEDNESDAY: Scattered rain showers will be possible, with a cool high of 54 degrees. The spring equinox is officially at 5:58 pm Wednesday, March 20th.
