COVINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Investigators say a man has been indicted for murder after a 2018 shooting in Covington.
Covington Police say on December 30, they were called to Pike and Main Street, where 35-year-old Natasha Henderson was dead from gunshot wounds.
Through investigation, it was determined that Patrick Blanchard was the suspect believed to have shot Henderson. On January 5, Blanchard turned himself in.
On February 28, Blanchard was indicted with Murder, a Capital Offense, punishable by 20 to 50 years or Life in prison. The second indictment charges Blanchard with Possession of a Handgun by Convicted Felon, a Class C Felony, punishable by 5 to 10 years in prison.
Detectives also learned at least two vehicles were stopped in traffic behind the vehicle from which Blanchard fired the shots that killed Henderson.
Covington Police are also asking the witnesses in those vehicles to come forward. Any drivers or passengers in those vehicles are asked to contact Detective Hamblin at (859) 292-2375.
