WOLFE COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Wolfe County Animal Shelter is in desperate need of help after water surrounded it on Saturday night.
Water from a creek flooded the shelter’s land and made it inside the building.
A couple of volunteers were able to move the dogs before the water got to them.
The shelter is looking at a couple thousand dollars worth of damage and the shelter needs money, donations, and cleaning supplies.
“It’s going to be massive cleanup. A lot of the supplies, we have to use a special sanitizer called rescue and it’s about 50 dollars a bottle so it’s going to be more than we are going to be able to afford without help,” said Pam Pilgrim, Board Member.
Visit the shelter’s Facebook page for information on how to donate.
