LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Off-duty police officers track down a victim following a shooting in Lexington Saturday morning.
The Lexington Police Department says the officers were working a private party near the Whitaker Bank ballpark when they heard several shots fired around 2:05 a.m.
They went to the ballpark and saw a gray Nissan speeding out of the parking lot.
The officers say they found three vehicles with bullet holes and several shell casings in the parking lot.
They then tracked the gray Nissan down to a home on Ward Drive where they say they found a man suffering from gunshot wounds to his hand and thigh.
He was taken to the University of Kentucky hospital to be treated for non life-threatening injuries.
Police say the man is not being cooperative and they are still trying to get information on the suspects.
