Heavy rain showers as flood watch continues Monday


OVERVIEW: Heavy rain showers across central Kentucky continue Monday into Tuesday afternoon. As temperatures start to drop Tuesday night, precipitation will turn to a rain/mix. Chance of light scattered snow will follow Tuesday night. High temperatures reach the 50s and 60s at the start of the work week. Winds will increase Tuesday with wind gusts over 40 mph.

TODAY: Light to moderate rain showers throughout the day with mostly cloudy skies, high of 50 degrees.

MONDAY NIGHT: Mostly cloudy with rain showers, rain could be heavy at times; low of 49 degrees.

TUESDAY: Mostly cloudy with rain showers, rain could be heavy at times. Expect breezy conditions as well with gusts up to 20 MPH or higher, with a high temperature of 61 degrees.

TUESDAY NIGHT: Mostly cloudy skies with rain shower changing over into snow showers, no accumulations are expected; low of 30 degrees.
WEDNESDAY: Mostly sunny skies; high of 45 degrees.
