Flood Watch Continues through Thursday night


Overview:  A FLOOD WATCH is in effect now through Thursday night, with heavy rain and thunderstorms possible at times. Record setting warm temperatures develop Thursday, with colder temperatures returning by Friday morning. Seasonably cold temperatures continue during the day Friday into the weekend.

TONIGHT: Rain chances continue, with overnight low temperatures around 56 degrees. Heavy rainfall at times will lead to possible flooding issues, especially in poor drainage areas, and near creeks, streams, and rivers.

THURSDAY: Rain showers continue, which may be heavy at times. Even a few thunderstorms are possible, with high temperatures expected to be around 70 degrees. The record high temperature for Thursday, February 7th is 67 degrees set in 1925. Gusty winds around 40 mph will be possible, which may cause localized wind damage.

THURSDAY NIGHT: Rain showers continue, yet as cold air moves into the region, we may see a brief transition to light snow, which will taper off Friday morning. Overnight low temperatures will be around 28 degrees.

FRIDAY: A rain-snow mix to snow will be possible during the early morning hours, with high temperatures around 35 degrees. Mostly sunny skies are expected for the afternoon hours.

FRIDAY NIGHT: Mostly clear skies and much colder temperatures develop, with an overnight low of 12 degrees.

SATURDAY: Mostly sunny skies and cold temperatures develop, with a high of 36 degrees.

SATURDAY NIGHT:  Mostly clear skies continue, with an overnight low temperature of 17 degrees.

SUNDAY: Mostly cloudy skies develop for Sunday, with late day rain showers, and a high temperature of 42 degrees. A rain-snow mix will be possible across Northern Kentucky.

SUNDAY NIGHT: Rain showers to a little wintry mix will be possible, with overnight low temperatures around 32 degrees.

MONDAY: Scattered rain showers will be possible, with a chilly high temperature of 44 degrees.

MONDAY NIGHT: Rain chances continue, with an overnight low temperature of 36 degrees.

TUESDAY: Scattered rain showers and cool temperatures develop, with a high of 54 degrees.

TUESDAY NIGHT: Rain showers linger, with an overnight low temperature of 41 degrees.

WEDNESDAY: Rain showers and cool temperatures develop, with a high temperature of 50 degrees.
