Warming up for the weeekend

Overview:  The cold is about to exit as temperatures warm up heading into the weekend. Starting with a winter weather advisory for much of Kentucky. Snow showers will turn to a mix of rain later on today.

TODAY: A rain-snow mix will be possible, with high temperatures around 37 degrees. Snow during the morning hours, with a transition to rain for Friday afternoon.
TONIGHT: Cloudy skies and cold temperatures continue, with a low of 32 degrees.

SATURDAY: Partly cloudy skies and seasonably chilly temperatures develop, with a high of 48 degrees for Groundhog Day. No matter what the groundhog says, we are predicting six more weeks of winter.

SATURDAY NIGHT:  Cloudy skies and cold temperatures continue, with a low of 38 degrees, as temperatures stay above freezing.

SUNDAY: A stray rain shower will be possible, with a high temperature of 55 degrees for your Super Bowl Sunday.
SUNDAY NIGHT: Lingering rain showers continue, with a low of 46 degrees.

MONDAY: Scattered rain showers will be possible, with a milder high temperature of 60 degrees.

MONDAY NIGHT: Cloudy skies and a few rain showers will be possible, with a low of 49 degrees.



TUESDAY: Scattered rain showers and cool temperatures stay around, with a high of 54 degrees.

WEDNESDAY: High 61. Mostly cloudy, chance of rain showers.

THURSDAY: High around 50. Mostly cloudy. Chance for mixed precipitation.
