Cloudy to clearing, much colder Tuesday

Overview:  We’re losing about half our heat heading into this Tuesday afternoon. High temperatures will peak around 27 degrees in Lexington. The day starts off mostly cloudy then clears through the afternoon. There will be periods of flurries to light snow showers in the morning hours.

TONIGHT: Snow flurries will be possible, with an overnight low of 5 degrees. Wind chill advisory will be in effect by the National Weather Service tomorrow morning.

WEDNESDAY: Partly cloudy skies and a few snow flurries will be possible, with a high of 14 degrees.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT: Partly cloudy skies and bitterly cold temperatures develop, with a low of 1 degree, and wind chills around -10 degrees possible.

THURSDAY: Partly to mostly cloudy skies develop, with a few snow flurries, and high temperatures only reaching 23 degrees.



THURSDAY NIGHT: Snow showers to a rain-snow mix will be possible, with overnight low temperatures around 22 degrees.

FRIDAY: A rain-snow mix will be possible, with high temperatures around 37 degrees.

FRIDAY NIGHT: Cloudy skies and cold temperatures continue, with a low of 28 degrees.

SATURDAY: Partly cloudy skies and seasonably chilly temperatures develop, with a high of 43 degrees for Groundhog Day. No matter what the groundhog says, we are predicting six more weeks of winter.

SATURDAY NIGHT:  Cloudy skies and cold temperatures continue, with a low of 37 degrees, as temperatures stay above freezing.

SUNDAY: Scattered rain showers will be possible, with a high temperature of 52 degrees.

SUNDAY NIGHT: Lingering rain showers continue, with a low of 45 degrees.
