Much colder temperatures return, with light snow possible overnight


Overview:  Colder temperatures return for the rest of the week, with highs in the lower 30s Thursday and 20s for Friday. A chance for a rain to snow mix will be possible tonight, as a cold front moves through bringing much colder air. Friday is expected to be dry, with another chance for a wintry mix to snow for Saturday and Sunday, with high temperatures only in the mid to upper 30s.

TONIGHT: A cold front will move through the region, bringing colder air back to Kentucky, and bringing a brief transition from rain to snow. Overnight low temperatures will be around 27 degrees. A rain-snow mix to snow will be possible, with snowfall accumulations of a trace to 1”+ possible.

THURSDAY: After morning snow showers, mostly cloudy skies and snow flurries linger into the afternoon, with a high of 34 degrees.

THURSDAY NIGHT: Mostly cloudy skies and freezing cold temperatures continue, with a low of 13 degrees. Snow flurries will be possible.

FRIDAY: Partly cloudy skies and frigid high temperatures continue, with a high of 24 degrees.

FRIDAY NIGHT: Mostly cloudy skies and frigid temperatures develop, with a low of 16 degrees.

SATURDAY: Mostly cloudy skies and a chance for snow flurries will be possible, with a high of 35 degrees.

SATURDAY NIGHT: Snow flurries will be possible, with a high temperature of 26 degrees.

SUNDAY: Mostly cloudy skies and snow showers to a wintry mix will be possible, with a high of 39 degrees.

SUNDAY NIGHT: Mostly cloudy skies and cold temperatures continue with a low of 30 degrees. The chance for a rain-snow mix will linger.

MONDAY: A rain to wintry mix will be possible for Monday, with a high of 48 degrees.

MONDAY NIGHT: Another cold front will move across the area, bringing the chance for a wintry mix, with overnight low temperatures around 29 degrees.

TUESDAY: Cloudy skies and snow showers will be possible, with a high temperature of 32 degrees.

TUESDAY NIGHT: Snow showers linger, with an overnight low of 15 degrees.

WEDNESDAY: Partly cloudy skies and a few snow flurries will be possible, with a high of 25 degrees.
