Ag Commissioner to run for re-election


FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVQ) – Kentucky Agriculture Commissioner Ryan Quarles filed papers Thursday to seek a second term in office.

The Republican from Scott County was first elected in 2015 with 60-percent of the vote.

“I am looking forward to hitting the campaign trail and putting the tailgate down on farm trucks across the Commonwealth to discuss the successes the agriculture community has achieved over the last three years and how we continue to move agriculture the 21st century,” Quarles said.

“We’re going to take our positive farm-tested, field ready message to the people and continue to work to make not only our farmers, but all the people of Kentucky proud.”
