LAWRENCEBURG, Ky. (WTVQ) – A Lawrenceburg man is behind bars after police say he broke into a woman’s home and touched her as she slept.
Police say Travis Sutherland broke into a neighbor’s home around 2 a.m. Friday.
When the woman woke up and yelled at him, police say Sutherland crouched in a corner of the room and said he was “just messing” with her and ran away.
According to the police report, the woman described Sutherland as having “wild brown hair” and a “wild brown beard.”
Police found Sutherland at his residence and walked him back to the woman’s house where she identified him as the man who touched her.
Authorities also found muddy footprints on her floor which matched the shape and size Sutherland’s shoes.
Sutherland is charged with second-degree burglary.
