Several cats die in Mt. Sterling house fire

Mt. Sterling, Ky. (WTVQ)- Several cats died Tuesday morning in a Montgomery County house fire.

The Montgomery County Fire Department says they got the call about it before 9:30 a.m.

Firefighters say the family and a dog got out safely, but several cats died inside.

The department also says most of the damage was in a bedroom.

Firefighters are still investigating what caused the fire.
