LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lexington Police have arrested a man and his girlfriend, after they say she abused his 4-year-old daughter, and he allowed it to happen.
Police say Jossue Flores-Aparicio and Wendy Hernandez-Pena are now facing multiple charges.
According to Lexington Police, back in September, they were called to UK Hospital about a high risk abuse case.
Police say Flores-Aparicio was working at the time when his girlfriend called him to tell him his daughter had gotten hurt, while she was watching her.
Then, Lexington Police say after questioning, the girlfriend admitted to officers that she hit the 4-year-old in the face multiple times.
Police say when the girl was interviewed, she told officers her father’s girlfriend had also broken her arm and choked her.
They say Hernandez-Pena was arrested back on November 15th for criminal abuse and wanton endangerment.
Yesterday, Lexington Police arrested Flores-Aparicio for wanton endangerment and endangering the welfare of a minor, saying he failed to stop her neglect.
