GRAY, Ky. (WTVQ)- State Police say the human remains that were found Monday might be those of a missing man from Laurel County.
The Knox County coroner confirms the remains are those of 34-year-old Adam Keith Pinkley. Pinkley was reported missing in June 2018 to the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office.
The coroner’s office says Pinkley was identified by the pace maker that was also located at the scene.
Detectives continue to investigate the cause of death and how the remains ended up in the wooded area.
GRAY, Ky. (WTVQ)- State Police say human remains have been found in Knox County off Garland Cemetery Road in the Gray community around 6 p.m. Monday.
KSP says a preliminary investigation indicates a 15-year-old was riding his four wheeler in a wooded area off of Garland Cemetery Road when he came across human remains.
Investigators say the human remains will be sent to the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Frankfort for an autopsy.
At this time no identification and cause of death can be made due to the state of the body.
This case is still under investigation.
