CLINTON COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – Funds are being raised to help with the burial of a murdered Clinton County girl.
Three-year-old Josephine Bulubenchi was pronounced dead Sunday at the University of Kentucky hospital, according to the Fayette County Coroner’s Office.
She was brought to the hospital Saturday after deputies say she was attacked at her home by her uncle, 33-year-old Emanuel Fluter, who was living with the family.
The Clinton County Sheriff’s Department says Fluter cut his niece’s throat with a knife.
Four other children were in the room when Josephine was attacked, according to an arrest citation.
The citation also states the child’s father heard her screams on a baby monitor and ran in to stop Fluter.
Fluter is charged with murder.
According to a GoFundMe page, money is being raised to take Josephine’s body to Michigan for funeral services.
