Drug arrest made on Thanksgiving Day in Lawrenceburg

LAWRENCEBURG, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Lawrenceburg Police made a drug arrest on Thanksgiving Day at a local hotel, according to police.

Officials say they responded to a suspicious person complaint at Best Western on Thursday.

They say officers located a man in the parking lot with outstanding warrants.

They then found a man and woman inside a hotel room with over a thousand dollars, methamphetamine, marijuana and heroin, according to officials.

Police say John Essex was charged with trafficking a controlled substance within 1,000 ft of school, trafficking in controlled substance 1st degree, 2nd or greater offense and possession of marijuana.



Officials tell us that they also charged Stephanie Hall possession of a controlled substance 1st degree (methamphetamine), possession controlled substance 1st degree (heroin), possession controlled substance 1st degree (drug unspecified), possession drug paraphernalia and prescription controlled substance not proper container.

According to police Charles Buckley was charged with trafficking controlled substance within 1,000 ft of school and was severed 3 out of county warrants.
