LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Millions of people are traveling across the country for Thanksgiving weekend, which also means 2018 should be a record breaking year for holiday travel through the air.
According to Forbes.com, they say just over fifty million Americans traveled by buses, plane, or car during last year’s Thanksgiving weekend.
Forbes says it’s projected that 30.6 million people will travel during the holiday which would be an all-time high and up 5.7% from last year.
But the main concern is travels through the skies.
Forbes says Thanksgiving Day itself is expected to be the slowest with approximately one million travelers catching flights nationwide, and Sunday being the busiest travel day with approximately three million people catching flights across the country.
