LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Lexington Police Department is warning that an AT&T outage could make it harder to reach 911.
In a post on their Facebook page, police say: “AT&T is currently experiencing an outage in its ability to deliver wireless 911 calls. If you are an AT&T subscriber please understand that this issue is beyond the control of Enhanced 911. We will inform you as soon as we get an update. Thank you!”
AT&T is reporting a widespread outage in central Kentucky but there is no estimated time given on when service will be fully restored.
