LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – People took on the cold to honor bluegrass veterans in downtown Lexington.
An awe struck Angela Farris took in the sights of veterans past and present receiving a heroes welcome on Main Street.
“You just can’t put into words what it means to see this,” said Farris, the wife of a military veteran.
Former airman Aaron Fallahi was one of the many veterans in the parade.
“This is a fantastic event. We definitely didn’t want to be left out of such an event,” said Fallahi.
Fallahi works with the Fisher House, which provides housing to families while vets receive medical treatment.
The parade began on the corner of Main Street and Midland Drive. Those in the parade walked the length of Main Street.
