Chilly and rainy for Friday, with wintry precipitation ahead

Overview:  Rain showers will develop overnight and into Friday, with chilly temperatures Overnight low temperatures will be in the upper 30s, with low to mid 40s for Friday afternoon. We could even have a few snowflakes Friday night, as colder temperatures return. The weekend looks dry, with highs in the upper 30s to near 40 degrees on Saturday, and mid 40s for Veterans Day Sunday. Another chance for rain returns on Monday, with a wintry mix to snow possible for Tuesday, as much colder air moves into the region. Light accumulating snow will be possible on Tuesday, for parts of Central and Eastern Kentucky.

TONIGHT: Cloudy skies and developing rain showers return tonight, with a cold low temperature of 38 degrees.

FRIDAY: We expect a rainy and chilly Friday, with a high temperature of 44 degrees.

FRIDAY NIGHT: Rain showers should diminish, yet we could see some snowflakes before all the precipitation is finished Friday night, and as colder air moves into the region. Overnight low temperatures will be around 26 degrees.

SATURDAY: More sunshine is expected to develop for Saturday, with a chilly high temperature of 37 degrees.

SATURDAY NIGHT: Mostly clear skies and cold temperatures develop, with a low temperature of 23 degrees.

VETERANS DAY SUNDAY: Partly cloudy skies and chilly temperatures continue, with a high temperature of 46 degrees.

SUNDAY NIGHT: Partly cloudy skies and cold temperatures develop, with a low temperature of 33 degrees.

MONDAY: Mostly cloudy skies and rain showers will be possible, with a high temperature of 47 degrees.

MONDAY NIGHT: Cold temperatures continue, with the chance for a little wintry mix, with overnight low temperatures around 29 degrees.

TUESDAY: A wintry mix to flurries/light snow showers will be possible on Tuesday, with a cold high temperature of 35 degrees.  No major accumulation is expected, except for minor accumulations for the highest elevations of Southeast Kentucky.

TUESDAY NIGHT: Mostly clear skies and cold temperatures develop, with a low of 21 degrees.

WEDNESDAY: More sunshine returns with a chilly high temperature of 38 degrees.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT: Mostly clear skies and frigid temperatures develop, with overnight low temperatures around 24 degrees.

THURSDAY: Partly cloudy skies and a few stray rain showers are possible, with a high temperature of 45 degrees.
