Colder temperatures, more rain chances, and wintry precipitation chances

Overview:  A cooling trend returns for the rest of the week, with high temperatures in the lowers 50s Thursday, and mid 40s for Friday. A few rain showers will be possible for Thursday, with a better chance for rain developing on Friday. We could even have a few snowflakes Friday night. The weekend looks dry, with highs in the upper 30s to near 40 degrees on Saturday, and mid 40s for Veterans Day Sunday. Another chance for rain returns on Monday, and a wintry mix to snow is possible into Tuesday, as much colder air moves into the region.

TONIGHT: Partly cloudy skies and cold temperatures stay around, with a low of 33 degrees.

THURSDAY: Mostly cloudy skies and a few rain showers develop, with a cool high temperature of 52 degrees.

THURSDAY NIGHT: Cloudy skies and spotty rain showers will be possible, with a cold low temperature of 40 degrees.

FRIDAY: We expect a rainy and chilly Friday, with a high temperature of 45 degrees.

FRIDAY NIGHT: Rain showers should diminish, yet we could see some snowflakes before all the precipitation is finished Friday night, and as colder air moves into the region. Overnight low temperatures will be around 27 degrees.

SATURDAY: More sunshine is expected to develop for Saturday, with a chilly high temperature of 39 degrees.

SATURDAY NIGHT: Mostly clear skies and cold temperatures develop, with a low temperature of 24 degrees.

VETERANS DAY SUNDAY: Partly cloudy skies and chilly temperatures continue, with a high temperature of 46 degrees.

SUNDAY NIGHT: Partly cloudy skies and cold temperatures develop, with a low temperature of 32 degrees.

MONDAY: Mostly cloudy skies and rain showers will be possible, with a high temperature of 45 degrees.

MONDAY NIGHT: Cold temperatures continue, with the chance for a little wintry mix, with overnight low temperatures around 29 degrees.

TUESDAY: A wintry mix to flurries/light snow showers will be possible on Tuesday, with a cold high temperature of 39 degrees.  No major accumulation is expected, except for minor accumulations for the highest elevations of Southeast Kentucky.

TUESDAY NIGHT: Mostly clear skies and cold temperatures develop, with a low of 27 degrees.

WEDNESDAY: More sunshine returns with a chilly high temperature of 44 degrees.
