Tattoo parlor to raise money for childhood cancer


LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A tattoo parlor in Fayette County will host a fundraiser Sunday to support children facing cancer.

It’s the eighth annual “Tattoos against Cancer” event at Tattoo Charlie’s of Lexington.

Any time between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. on Sunday, November 11, customers can choose a tattoo from a sheet of designs for a minimum donation of $30.

Tattoo Charlie’s says 100 percent of all donations will be given directly to Meghan’s Mountain, a charity focused on providing quality care to children, and their families, going through cancer care.

The parlor says in the past seven years, it has raised over $55 thousand for Meghan’s Mountain.

If you aren’t interested in getting a tattoo, but would still like to participate in the event, you can.

The parlor says you can make a donation through PayPal to “I support Meghan’s Mountain” on Facebook. If you make a donation of $50 or more, you’ll get a free Meghan’s Mountain t-shirt.

To get the shirt, make the donation, then email Jerry at with your name, phone number and donation amount.

Donations must be made by 11:59 p.m. Sunday to qualify for the t-shirt. Donations can also be dropped off at Tattoo Charlie’s of Lexington.

Tattoo Charlie’s will not be taking appointments during Sunday’s event. All spots are first come, first served.
