Man killed in Sunday evening crash in Martin County

INEZ, Ky. (WTVQ) — State Police say a man was killed in a Martin County crash Sunday evening, after losing control of his car.

According to KSP, just after 6 p.m., Michael Ferrell lost control of his truck on KY Route 645 in Inez.

They say he overcorrected, swerved off the road, and hit an embankment, which caused his truck to flip, which then threw him from the cab.

Police say he was taken to Highland Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police say they don’t suspect drugs or alcohol were involved.
