UPDATE: Coroner releases name of motorcyclist killed in crash Monday

The Fayette County Coroner’s Office Office has identified a motorcyclist killed in a crash on Georgetown Road Monday.

The coroner says he is 36-year-old Benjamin Murphy, of Lexington.

Murphy’s death is being investigated as an accident, according to the coroner.

UPDATE: LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says Spurr Road and Iron Works Pike are back open.

The road was closed for about seven hours after a motorcycle side-swiped a tractor-trailer.

UPDATE: LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- Traffic officials say Spurr Road and Iron Works Pike still remain blocked after a deadly motorcycle accident Monday afternoon.

They say there is not estimate of how much longer the road will be blocked.
