CLINTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- State police say they responded to a deadly crash Monday morning on US 51 between KY 780 and KY 1529.
Investigators say three cars were involved in the crash that happened a little after 8 a.m.
Troopers say 82-year-old Lynn Lemons was traveling south on US 51 while driving an empty 1993 Mack dump truck, pulling an empty trailer. 22-year-old Gerald Tucker was traveling north on US 51 while driving a Dodge Mini Van. 44-year-old Kathryn Thompson was traveling north on US 51 while driving a 2017 Nissan Versa.
Investigators say for an unknown reason. the trailer from Lemons’ dump truck detached from the dump truck and side-swiped the mini can before hitting Thompson’s car head on. They say all three drivers were wearing seat belts.
Kathryn Thompson was pronounced dead at the seen by the Hickman County coroner.
