Police: Homeowner fires shots at burglar


LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lexington Police say a homeowner fired shots during a home invasion on Friday.

Police say they responded to a report of a burglary on Jacks Creek Road around 2:20 p.m.

The homeowner says a man broke into his house, wearing a gray bandanna and armed with a gun.

The man held the homeowner at gunpoint while robbing him of cash, according to police.

The suspect took off and got into a vehicle. As he was driving off, the homeowner fired shots at the car.

Police say they do not know if the vehicle or the suspect were hit.

According to police, the homeowner had video cameras around the home, which they are reviewing to get a better look at the suspect and the vehicle he was in.
