LPD: Fire intentionally set in apartment

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lexington Police believe someone intentionally set a fire at an apartment Thursday morning.

Police were called to the four-unit apartment complex at 301 Poage Court around 8:30 a.m. to a report of a domestic violence situation.

Officers arrived and say they discovered a small fire burning in the apartment.

The fire was put out before the Lexington Fire Department arrived.

An arson investigator was called to the scene.



There were two people in the apartment when the fire broke out. No one was injured, according to police.

Police say they do expect to file charges in connection to fire.
