UPDATE: Road back open after deadly three-car crash in Wayne Co.

WAYNE COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)- Traffic officials says Kentucky 90 is back open after the deadly three-car crash Thursday afternoon.

Officials say the road was closed for several hours and reopened right before 11 p.m.

WAYNE COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)- We now know the name of the person killed in the three-person accident in Monticello Thursday afternoon.

The Wayne County deputy coroner has identified the man as 48-year-old Robert Allen Hicks. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

An autopsy is scheduled for Friday to determine the exact cause of death.

WAYNE COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – A deadly accident has closed down Kentucky 90 in Monticello.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says the crash happened near Golden Years Nursing Home around 3 p.m.

The Wayne County Coroner’s Office says the crash involved three vehicles.

All westbound traffic is being directed to turn left onto Gregory Street by Monticello Medical Association, turn left back onto West 90 at Kennett’s Antiques.

The lane closures are expected to remain in affect for the next several hours.
