Teenager arrested for shooting at KFC


LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lexington Police have arrested a teen accused of shooting a woman at a KFC.

Police say around 10:30 AM Saturday morning 18-year-old Lawrence Westbrook went into the KFC on Boardwalk near New Circle, and demanded to see an employee, who officers say is his girlfriend.

That employee stayed in the back and refused to talk to him.

Police say he then pulled out a gun and fired about eight shots in the direction of his girlfriend and other employees.

One employee was hit in the ankle, according to police.

Officers say Westbrook ran off, the employee was taken to the hospital.

According to police, Westbrook was wearing a black “bubble” coat, black shorts, and black shoes.
