LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – A teen is in custody, accused of trafficking a large amount of drugs investigators say were headed into local schools.
The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office says the 16-year-old was arrested Saturday morning after investigators went to a home and found 11 pounds of marijuana oil, 16 pounds of high grade California marijuana, 30 pounds of gummies laced with marijuana oil, 349 vape pins, along with several guns.
The teen is charged with trafficking marijuana over 5 pounds; possession of drug paraphernalia; three counts of possession of a handgun by a minor.
He is in custody at the juvenile detention center in Breathitt County.
Three other suspects have been arrested in the drug bust, according to the sheriff’s office. 25-year-old Joshua Brown of London, 20-year-old Harmony Vaughn of London, and 20-year-old Austin May of London were all found in possession of a large amount of marijuana and marijuana oil.
All are being held at the Laurel County Detention Center.
These drugs were headed into local schools but it’s not known if they actually made it in.
The school the 16-year-old attended is not being released at this time.
