LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Lexington Fire Department thinks high winds could have started a house fire Saturday night.
Firefighters say the gusts broke a utility pole that pulled wiring down, and could have energized the house on Crosby Drive, starting a fire.
There were two people inside at the time, both made it out safely.
There were also three dogs inside. Firefighters say they were able to revive two, but one died.
The house was significantly damaged and might have to be torn down.
