Nicholas Co. HS senior dies after wreck


NICHOLAS COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – A 17-year old Nicholas County high school senior has died after a head on collision, according to the Fayette County Coroner.

Officials say the accident happened off of Moorefield Road in Nicholas County.

The coroner says Brady Ramirez was a passenger in a vehicle when the accident happened.

Ramirez died on Tuesday at UK hospital, according to the investigators.

The Nicholas County FFA released this statement on their Facebook page, Wednesday.

“Our chapter is saddened to hear of the loss of Nicholas County High School Senior, agriculture education student, and FFA member Brady Ramirez. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family, the many friends and peers he has, and our small community as we mourn the loss of such an incredible young man. Please continue to send positive vibes and/or prayers to his family as well as to Carlos Lopez who was also hurt in the accident.
Our chapter will be hosting our annual Pie and Chili Cookoff tonight and will be donating all proceeds to the Ramirez family to assist with funeral expenses.”
