SANDY HOOK, Ky. (WTVQ) – The state will pay more than a million dollars to four female prison guards to settle a sexual harassment lawsuit.
The prison guards accused their supervisor at the Little Sandy Correctional Complex in Elliott County of sexually harassing them while they worked at the prison.
The women alleged multiple incidents with Sergeant Stephen Harper, including an attempted rape and touching their breasts and buttocks.
They sued Harper and won a $1.6 million verdict.
The state appealed but that appeal ended with a settlement for $1.5 million.
