LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A father was arrested after his baby tests positive for Oxycodone.
The nine-month-old was brought to the hospital in Georgetown on August 6 after she became drowsy and, eventually, non-responsive.
Tests run at the hospital showed the baby had Oxycodone in her system, according to police.
Both parents told hospital personnel they did not use prescription medication.
Police say the child was in the care of her father, 28-year-old Dion Johnson, when she started showing signs of drug impairment.
Documents say during an interview with a social worker, an older child who lives at the home said Johnson had a big bag of pills he gave to friends.
Police say Johnson admitted to a social worker that he had Oxycondone around and that one of the pills may have fallen on the floor.
Johnson is charged with wanton endangerment.
