KNOX COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – A man accused of shooting and killing another man who got stuck in his driveway is now in jail in Knox County.
Kentucky State Police say 71-year-old Glenn Powell was extradited back to Kentucky from Tennessee on Tuesday to face murder charges.
Investigators say Powell shot 57-year-old Glen Edwards last month.
According to police, Edwards’ pickup became stuck in Powell’s driveway on Higgins Hollow Road.
Edwards left his truck and came back with another man.
State Police say Powell confronted the two, telling them to leave his property, then went into his home and came back out with a gun.
Police say Powell shot Edwards in the back and the man with Edwards fired at Powell, hitting him.
Powell was flown to the University of Tennessee hospital to be treated for his injuries.
