3 arrested after admitting to using meth around children

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)- The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office says they have arrested three people, two being parents, after they admitted to using meth around children.

Deputies say the children were six months old and two years old. Two of the three arrested were identified as parents of both children.

Deputies arrested 25-year-old Quincy Williams, 22-year-old Shelby Jones, and 21-year-old Katelyn Hollin.

arrested three individuals off Foley Road approximately 10 miles South of London on Thursday night October 4, 2018 at approximately 6:54 PM. The arrests occurred while the Laurel County Sheriff’s office was assisting social services on an investigation when investigators learned from two adults who were the caregivers of children ages six months and two years of age admitted using methamphetamine earlier in the day. In addition, a third adult in the residence who was an acquaintance also admitted smoking methamphetamine earlier in the day where the children were located. This individual was found in possession of a glass pipe containing suspected methamphetamine.

All three individuals were lodged in the Laurel County detention center.
